Recently pulled up the carpet through out my home and decided to refinish the hardwood floors. When the carpet was pulled up in the livingroom, there are three areas where the hardwood is gone and some plywood has been installed. The three areas are around the fireplace. We have decided to put some slate tiles around the fireplace, however, since this is an old home (built in 1916) there is no sub-floor.
What is the easiest way to install the tiles? OR do we need to scrap the idea and come up with another creative approach? |
