Default Kitchen Range & Stovetop Repairs

I have an old Jenn Air Glass Top Kitchen Range with an exhaust fan in the middle. Last the exhaust fan came on and stayed on until I hit the circuit breaker. Everytime I turn the circuit breaker back on, the exhaust fan kicks on. The exhaust fan`s switch is firmly in the off position. Any idea why the exhaust fan would kick on and stay on?

Default switch

Sounds like you may have a bad switch.
