Default I have a light switch that i thought was bad.

I have a light switch that i thought was bad. i replaced with new one but it still does not work. 35 volts read when switch is off and nothing when switch is on. everything was working now it is not. I attached the same wires the same way the old switch was. What do i do

Try reseting all of your GFCI receptacles. Sometimes a GFCI in another room will effect power in another room.
