3 lights on one switch, with power going to first light fixture. I get the first light(with power source going to it) to work with the switch, but the other 2 lights stay on all the time.
Any suggestions on how to correct this would be greatly appreciated. Lem |

Go to the fixture that you can turn on and off with the switch. The hot wire that is connected to the black wire on that fixture is called the "switch leg", that is the wire that is controlled by the switch. On the other two fixtures that are on all the time, disconnect the hot wire from both of them, and "cap" them with a wire nut. Then splice a wire from the light (the black wire) that you can turn on and off, to the other two lights, and then all three will be controlled by the light switch. Make sure you use at least a size #14 AWG wire.
