Your power source will have a black (hot) wire, white (neutral) wire, and a green (ground) wire. The black wire will go to the switch, then another wire (black) will go from the switch, to the first light, and spliced to the black wire on the light, then to the second light. The white wire will go to the first light and spliced to the white wire on the light, then to the second light. And the green wire goes to the switch, if there is a green ground screw on the light switch, then it will go to the green wire on the first light , then, to the second light.
