The drum is mounted with spring or rubber bushings that act like shock absorbers. When machines get worn out they get very sloppy or even break. When the machines get real bad they shake violently.
The retaining spring clips that are attached to your drum may have come off (There are three or four of them) Push the drum to one side and look to see which ones have come off and re-attach them to their anchor points, you should have no more trouble. When loading your machine for the spin cycle just make sure that all clothes are evenly spread around the drums balance point before spinning out.
Also ck the washing machine to make sure it's level. Just adjust the legs of it..can usually be done by just twisting the legs.
