Electric Cooktop: Single Burner Doesn't Heat Properly
single burner will come on but when try to adjust heat will sometimes cut off

element
Ck the condition of the element connectors, you can remove element by lifting it about 1" or2" & pulling firmly away from receptacle. Due to spills & time the end of the elements that plug into the receptacle will corroded,rust,or pit.You may have to replace both element & receptacle.
