I have a Lady Kenmore washer machine bought new in 1992. It overflowed a few days ago and now the water inlet has to be turned off manually to keep it from filling to much. What part do I need to replace? Thanks.

You my have an obstruction in the water-level switch tube or a bad water-level switch. Also could be a defective water-inlet valve.
