Default Breaker

http://images.lowes.com/general/a/ap...breakerbox.jpg

Inside a breaker panel is a dangerous place to be,there is always HIGH VOLTAGE ALIVE in the breaker panel even when the main breaker is off. If you TOUCH ANY ENERGIZED PART YOU WILL LIKELY DIE.One slip is all it takes, you are entering a HIGH RISK area.Keep your mind on the job at hand,DON'T touch anything but the breaker you are installing, keep an eye on your other hand don't rest it in the breaker box.

Turn off main breaker first, then looking at the new breaker where the wire terminal is located, about 1" below that there is a notch & a small foot or toe end protruding from below the notch. This protrusion fits under the metal tab stirp that run parallel with the bus bar.The bus bar is where the other end of the breaker will slide into. Slide breaker into position first the notch end into the metal tab stirp, align breaker to bus bar , press firmly on breaker & press only on breaker don't touch anything else.If everthing is align properly breaker will seat into the bus bar.

Was this solution helpful to you,if so click on the balancing scales on the left to add to reputation.

Thank you for the information and diagram. I think I will let a professional install the breakers. I know my limitations! You have been very helpful.
