My Maytag washer is quite old & works great, but all of the sudden it wont quit filling with water yet it still runs the cycles-it has been flooding my whole floor & I have to manually turn off the water by the valve. there isnt anyone that comes to make house calls anymore & I cant load it up by myself. Please help me.

You my have an obstruction in the water-level switch tube or a bad water-level switch. Also could be a defective water-inlet valve.
