depends on the age of your system / your comfort / and what you want your utility bills to be.

keep in mind whatever tempature you like heat pumps dont do well when you turn the tstat up past 4 to 6 degrees.

So if you turn you tstat down to 62 at night and up to 70 when you wake up....expect the unit to run for a long time and struggle while it is doing the first cycle. Its better to find you happy medium....If 70 degrees is the average comfort level in the winter...never turn the thermostat below 66 and never above 74.
