My GE dryer about 10 year old makes a screaching noise when the drum turnes, It still heats up and dries the clothes but the noise is bad. Thanks

I have had a dryer that makes screaching sounds also. It could either be the bearings going bad on the back side of the drum. Or as the dryer gets old the felt on the front frame that holds the drum up wears out and you get metal on metal.
