Default high efficiency furnace installed just over a year ago---in ...

high efficiency furnace installed just over a year ago---in the really cold weather the pipe outside freezes up and furnace runs poorly what can we do?

The carbon dioxide monitor went off the other day--poked at the pipe and then it stopped

Pipe freezes?
Do you have a heat pump or natural gas system?
What are your average high temps and low temps now?

If you have a heat pump this could be the result of a refrigeration issue or a defrost control problem. I would call the installation company.
