Default My toilet keeps

My toilet keeps "running on" after a flush. The water is continuously flowing to (or from) the ball cock/tank-fill tube parts. How do I resolve this issue?

If it is a ball cock try gently bending the rod down, this lowers the bowl hence lowering the shut off point of the water. If it is fluid master type with the cylinder, adjust the clips so that the cylinder stops a little lower. You are trying to keep the water about a 1/2 inch below the overflo tube.
