we have replace the thermostat and heating element, but the reset button keeps popping, and hot water isnt lasting long or very hot. Anyone know why this is happening? plseLast edited by chica; 01-21-2009 at 09:05 PM. |

Assuming it's a 2 element water heater I'd suggest replacing both thermostats. The stat without the overload might be overheating the water and causing the OL to trip.
The overloads are temperature dependent, not current. |
