Default replace the automatic vent

If the water isn't sitting in your sink, but draining out really slowly do two things: First, replace that automatic vent, it obviously isn't working anymore. Just take it to your nearest home repair place and get a good one..those cheap ones need replacing alot. Second, pour about a 1/2 cup of baking soda into the drain and then add about a 1 and 1/2 cups vinegar.
The foaming action should help to break up any sludge left from your slow draining sink.
