When i turn on the water in my bathroom sink, I can hear water dripping in the wall. in the hallway. How do I find the leak?

Before you use the sink next time, get a good size pan/bucket of water and pour it into the sink. If you hear the water running out in the hall, then you've eliminated the water supply as your problem, you've got a leak in the drain. On the floor below this bathroom do you have access to the ceiling...drop in ceiling tiles or unfinished basement?
