Default Dimmer switch wattages

I bought a dimmer switch on sale. It says 600 watt on the package. I have a 3 light hanging ceiling light that I want to use 100 watt bulb in.
As long as I don`t exceed 300 watts in the light can I use thi dimmer?

Yes, you are correct, you can use that dimmer for your light fixture. As the package says, do not exceed 600 watts total for all bulbs.
