Default How to Check a Standard Light Switch

I removed a ceiling fan and put in just a light prior to this the switch worked fine but after the fact it wouldn`t so I replaced it with a new switch and the switch still will not turn the light off what do I do.

It sounds like you wired it wrong, and when dealing with ceiling fans, that is easy to do. You will need to call an electrician, and not a handyman.
