Exclamation intall Tile over Laminate Countertop?

Can you tile overtop a laminate countertop? Is there a special surface preparation

I have done it and it turned out nice. You want to use contact glue. glue it to both surfaces. Use scrape plastic blind slats to keep the pieces apart. (Do the edges first) that way the top lays over the sides. line up the counter and laminant, then pull the slates. Use a rolling pin or rubber roller to press the pieces together. Then use a router with a flush blade to trim the edges. You can get angle edges for inside corners between wall and counter or make a splash gaurd. Not too horribly hard.
