Default Where to Put Insulation

I just finished framing out a new room off of the back of my house. Basic 2x4 framing with 1/2 inch plywood as sheathing. Before I install vinyl siding on the exterior, what is the best way to insulate the house. I have been given opinions including, just tyvek wrap, pink foam board, both wrap and foam board under the siding etc. What is the best way to proceed. Keep in mind that the interior of the room will be insulated with fiberglass faced rolls of insulation behind 1/2 inch sheetrock. Please help. Thanks.

since the room is already built, i would use tyvek on the outside to prevent moisture infiltration and use foam board in the wall bays on the inside. you don't want to insulate in two plains such as fiberglass inside and foam outside.
