Default What to Do When the Power Goes Out

My power goes out in one room only (living room) and the circuit breaker doesn`t trip. Then it goes back on by itself. Not sure how long it was out, since both times it was in the early morning, so we don't know how long it was out. This has happened twice in the last week. The rest of the week there was no problem. I don`t understand why the breaker doesn`t trip.

Default electicity

I'm not an eletrician, but I know I've had similar problems. Once it was because the light fixture had collected a lot of dust and dead moths and I guess that stuff all got down into the works. When I cleaned out the fixture, by blowing one of those cans of air into it, lots of stuff came out and now the light works fine. This may not help with your problem, but it could be a reason why only one light is going off and on. Then again, maybe it's a ghost! ;-)

Thank you but it is not just one light going out. The entire room goes out.

Your circuit breaker might be corroded on the connection to the bus bar, or, the wire might be corroded, or a loose connection on one or the other. Since inspection requires taking off the dead front, you should have an electrician look at this for you.
